I’m pleased to announce that you’re looking at version 2.0 of zdlldz.com. This version brings a lot of newness, so poke around a bit and (try to) enjoy! In an effort to clear the deck for future endeavors, I’ve deleted most of the old content (there wasn’t much anyway); I’ll be adding a lot more very soon.
Beyond the visual refresh, this relaunch is mostly about zdlldz.com/3d. As I’ll write (much, much) more about in the future, I’ve recently gone all-in on 3D. “All-in” as in everything I’m doing right now is 3D-related (photography, film, games, and even web development). That’s not to say that I won’t/don’t mess with the ol’ 2D, but I have big plans and bigger ideas for my future in 3D. If we’re friends in the real world, you’ve no doubt seen some of my stuff in person or heard me go on and on about how sweet 3D is/can be; hopefully now I’ll have the platform to start showing more of you said sweetness.
I know there are haters out there that argue 3D’s faults and its fadishness and this and that — and I see your points to an extent. But I’ll always argue — and will, on this site — that its positives far outweigh anything perceived as hate-worthy. There’s room for traditional content and there’s room for 3D, and I’m here trying to push independent 3D content creation forward. Things are juuuust starting to get interesting, and I’m thinking about the (far) future; we have a long way to go, but here we are, in it. The future is now!
So, with that, take a look around and be sure to check out some 3D photography galleries. I’ve got a ton of original (as in, my own) 3D video waiting in the wings, and my next step is to get it all edited and live for you to see.
